From 20ft to 45ft high cube containers, Plexus Freight moves sea freight between the UK and Europe with daily collections, regular departures and direct port delivery. Italy, Spain and Portugal covered as standard, handled by one named contact throughout.
Shipping containers are the most cost-effective way to move large volumes of cargo between the UK and Europe. We offer a full range of container sizes, including 20ft, 30ft, 40ft and 45ft high cube options, giving us the flexibility to match the right equipment to your specific cargo. Daily collections operate across Italy, Spain and Portugal, with regular weekly departures into the UK's major container ports including Felixstowe, Tilbury, Southampton and Grangemouth. Our 24/7 sea freight team is always available to advise on the best container solution for your import or export requirements.
Once your container arrives in the UK, we offer two delivery options depending on your site access and on-site equipment. Where direct container delivery is possible, we tranship at the quay and deliver the container intact to your premises. Where site access does not permit this, we devan goods at the port and reload onto 13.6-metre artic curtain-sided trailers for final delivery. Partner depots throughout the UK allow us to distribute container cargo to all corners of the country, including Ireland, using tail lifts, Moffats and HIAB cranes where specialist offloading is required.
We also utilise the European rail network for container movements where cost efficiency takes priority over transit speed. Rail-linked container services from Italy achieve transit times of up to 10 days and offer a significantly more cost-effective alternative to dedicated road freight for compatible cargo. Whether your preference is sea, rail or a multi-modal combination, our team designs the most efficient routing for your consignment. Every container booking is managed by a single named coordinator from first quote through to confirmed delivery, with proactive updates at each stage of the journey.
