Plexus Freight has shipped commercial car parts from our Portishead base since 1996. Car parts break the assumptions a parcel network is built on, so we handle them as freight, with the right mode and equipment for the weight and shape of the part. We have access to dedicated and groupage road vehicles across Europe, from SWB sprinters and Luton vans with tail lifts through to curtain-sided 13.6-metre trailers, plus air and sea options for worldwide movements. That depth means we collect at short notice and match the vehicle to the part, whether it is a single crated engine or a regular pallet run for an exporter. Our core European routes cover France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Poland.
Every car parts booking is managed by a single named coordinator who owns the movement from first contact through to confirmed delivery. You do not chase us for an update. We plan the route, the handling and the customs before the part moves, and we keep you informed at each stage rather than leaving you to ask. Transit options run from next-day 2-driver European road through to 48-hour and 72-hour economy, and sea freight where the timeline allows you to control the cost on heavier items. We confirm the transit time and the route before the part leaves collection, so you know when it will land.
We handle the full range of car parts across all routes, including engines, gearboxes and driveline components, body panels, windscreens and bumpers needing protected handling, and oversized or out-of-gauge parts that do not fit standard pallets. Once goods arrive in the UK, we manage door-to-door delivery to any address nationwide using vehicles suited to your site access, from full trailers through to smaller rigids with tail lifts, Moffats and HIAB cranes. Our in-house customs team clears international shipments with a dedicated agent at Felixstowe, and cross-trade movements between European countries are available for businesses that need parts moved without routing through the UK.
