Our European short sea freight operation covers Italy, Spain and Portugal with daily collections and regular weekly sailings back to the UK. We offer 20ft, 30ft, 40ft and 45ft containers with payloads of up to 26,000kg, and our volume on these lanes allows us to offer genuinely competitive rates. We utilise all major UK arrival ports including Felixstowe, Tilbury, Liverpool, Southampton, Bristol, Grangemouth and London Gateway, giving us the flexibility to deliver to any UK address regardless of your location. Transit times run from 8 to 12 days door to door depending on origin and destination.
Our involvement in the importation of ceramic tiles and stone from Italy, Spain and Portugal since 1996 gives us consistent weekly volume on these lanes that a general forwarder cannot match. This volume lets us offer competitive container rates on compatible cargo, light over-stow goods and full container loads alike. We work with Italian ports including La Spezia, Bari, Genoa and Messina, the port of Bilbao in Spain, and Leixões and Setúbal in Portugal, covering every major producing region for ceramic, stone and general cargo departing to the UK.
Not all delivery addresses can receive a full shipping container directly on site. Where this applies, we tranship or devan the container at the UK arrival port and reload goods onto a standard artic trailer or a smaller rigid vehicle for final delivery. This service is built into every European sea freight booking as standard. Customs coordination is handled via our dedicated Felixstowe agents exclusively alongside your sea freight shipment. Our 24/7 operations team is available to support time-critical queries and coordinate any out-of-hours delivery requirements at the UK end.
